๐Ÿ’ซ Living the Dream: My Kim Parsell Memorial Scholarship Experience ๐ŸŽ“

Iโ€™m beyond thrilled to share that I was selected as a recipient of the Kim Parsell Memorial Scholarship โ€”an honor that still feels surreal. At just 23 years old, this opportunity allowed me to travel outside of India for the very first time โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ, to attend WordCamp Asia 2025 in the Philippines ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ. I had the chance to meet contributors, leaders, and members of the WordPress Foundation in person ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™, many of whom I had only known virtually. It was in those moments that I truly realized: my contributions to WordPress matter ๐Ÿ’ชโœจ.

This experience deeply reinforced the legacy of Kim Parsellโ€”a woman whose work and spirit continue to empower others like me ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ’ปโค๏ธ. Her story reminded me how vital it is to increase the representation of women in open-source communities ๐Ÿ‘ญ๐Ÿš€, especially in WordPress. I now feel even more motivated to continue contributing, mentoring, and helping shape a more inclusive future ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒ.
